Business Support Programme

Fundraising for the Every Child a Chance Trust is raised under the Business Support Programme which was established to match primary schools in the Trust’s Every Child Counts and Every Child a Reader programmes with tailored sponsorship and employee volunteering.

The Business Support Programme was launched in January 2009 to enhance the numeracy and literacy skills of disadvantaged children through funding extra one-to-one tuition, parental support and awareness raising in tandem with the Trust’s various partners. It costs an average of £2,500 to enable one child per year to receive one-to-one literacy or numeracy specialist teaching support.  Whilst businesses are a key audience, funding and pro bono support is also received from trusts, individuals and organisations for which the Trust is truly grateful.
